Meet Our Veterinary Team
If you’re looking for a Queen Creek vet that treats patients like their own, then look no further than Dr. Cynthia Jones and her team at Compassionate Animal Care. We dedicate our lives to our jobs…because providing compassionate animal care is not just our name, it’s what we do. Our team only consists of caring, compassionate people who are dedicated to our patients’ wellbeing, and our clients’ peace of mind.
Our Veterinarian | Dr. Cynthia Jones
Dr. Cynthia Jones purchased Compassionate Animal Care from Dr. Lora Schelle in the summer of 2025 when Dr. Schelle moved out of state. Dr. Jones has been a veterinarian since November 2015; before that she was a vet tech/vet assistant for five years. Dr. Jones started her veterinary career working in the north valley in small animal practices before she started her own mobile veterinary business, which she ran for a year before buying Compassionate Animal Care in Queen Creek. Professionally, she has a special interest in dermatology and animal behavior.
Dr. Jones went to school at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, with her clinical year spent at Kansas State University, which is where she had previously earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology. Between high school and vet school she worked and volunteered for Operation Wildlife in Kansas, as well as working for a vet clinic while taking classes at Kansas City Kansas Community Collage, and later K State.
Dr. Jones grew up an Army brat and moved around a lot, but she spent her middle school and high school years in Kansas. She moved to the desert southwest after finishing vet school (she had previously lived in El Paso and loves the desert and mountains.)
When she’s not working, Dr. Jones’ hobbies include puzzles, kayaking, and hiking. Although as a mom to a toddler and a cat, as well as running her own veterinary clinic, spare time is hard to come by!
Dr. Jones is pictured with her pup Puddin, who is dearly missed.
Why Did Dr. Jones Buy Compassionate Animal Care?
” I wanted to offer a wider range of services than I was able to offer in home as a mobile veterinarian, and I wanted the opportunity to work with more families. I’m excited to meet you all, and your furbabies! “

Angelina Romero
Veterinary Assistant
Angelina was born in Sacramento, California, and has proudly called Arizona home since 2015. She graduated from Casa Grande Union High School with the Class of 2024 and went on to complete the two-year Veterinary Assistant Program at CAVIT, graduating with the Class of 2025.
From a young age, Angelina has had a deep passion for animal care and a strong desire to pursue a career in the veterinary field. Her dedication to helping animals in need reflects her compassionate nature and commitment to making a positive difference in their lives. She values the opportunity to provide comfort, care, and support to animals while also assisting their owners.
Eager to continue developing her skills and knowledge, Angelina looks forward to gaining hands-on experience in a professional veterinary setting. Her long-term goal is to grow within the field, expanding her expertise and contributing to the well-being of animals and the success of the veterinary team.
In her free time, Angelina enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, volunteering at her local animal shelter, and caring for her own pets, – her dog, Pepper, and her bearded dragon, Keio. These experiences not only bring her joy but also deepen her connection to the animals she is so passionate about.

She has worked at different general practice clinics, mostly with cats and dogs but did spend a few years with exotics. Tiffany also had a big interest in surgery and even spent a couple years as lead surgery technician.
Tiffany started working at Compassionate Animal Care in March of 2023 and was promoted to lead technician shortly after. Her favorite patients are the chihuahuas with attitude, the spicier the better.
She currently has 3 dogs – Brody Bear (chiweenie), Flower (chihuahua), and Jerry aka JayJay (Terrier mix). Tiffany has a son, Bryan, who is all grown up and moved out. When she is not at work Tiffany enjoys working on cars (as long as it’s not hot outside), off-roading, crafts, playing ball with her Brody Bear, and playing pranks/scaring her co-workers
Christina Chatham
Certified Veterinary Technician
Christina has been in the veterinary field since 2006, which is when she started her career as a veterinary assistant. She became a certified veterinary technician in 2011. Prior to working in the veterinary field, Christina worked at a dog grooming facility.
Christina has always had a tremendous love for animals of all sizes. She shares her life with six cats, a retired racing greyhound, and Belgian malinois. Her special interests include feline medicine, nutrition, behavior, holistic or alternative medicine, and breed-specific predispositions.
Christina currently teaches veterinary assisting to high school students, but her passion for veterinary medicine means that she continues to work in the field. Because of her teaching commitments, she will be working with the Compassionate Animal Care team part-time.
