Update on COVID-19 on 12/28/2020

Due to the increased COVID numbers in Arizona, to keep our staff and customers safe, unfortunately we are reverting to primarily CURBSIDE visits. This applies to all medication pick-ups, and the majority of veterinary appointments – with only a few exceptions at our discretion – such as euthanasia, or a new client with a pet with an illness. We will continue to disinfect and sanitize between each appointment, and frequently cleaning door handles, floors, chairs, etc. throughout the day.

When you arrive for an appointment, we ask that you call 480.774.6995 upon arrival. You will be asked to wait outside and a technician will come outside to get your pet, take any relevant information, and give you any updates. We will have you pay over the phone.

For those few exceptions that are allowed inside, please only one family member per visit, and we require that you wear a mask for the entire visit. We will not be providing masks, so please bring your own. If you do not have a mask, we will ask that you stay in your car. Please note that the proper way to wear a mask for it to be beneficial to all, is to use it to cover both your mouth AND your nose.

We are also doing drop-off appointments, but only for existing clients. New clients need to be present (in your car in our parking lot) for your pet’s first visit.

If you are coming in for medication refills, please stay in your car and call us when you arrive. We will come out to you. We can do payments over the phone if that helps.

We are still performing surgeries, please call for details. We appreciate your patience and ask that you continue to be patient with us as we do the very best we can in these difficult circumstances. We hope to keep everyone healthy and safe. Please call 480.774.6995 for details, or if you have any questions.

Mobile Visits

We are still offering our normal mobile vet service again, including wellness appointments, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Please call our mobile number 602.359.2031  to schedule your in-home appointment.

Please note that we are asking people about their health status, their exposure, and if they have any symptoms. We are wearing PPE (masks, gloves) to all visits and ask our clients to also wear a mask. If any symptoms are present, we are only seeing pets if absolutely necessary, staying minimum of 6 feet away, and preferably staying outside or in a garage, etc.

We appreciate your patience in these strange times; we will continue to provide the best care possible for your pet while maintaining the safety of our staff and clients during this pandemic.

As always, if you have any questions, contact us online or call Compassionate Animal Care at 480.774.6995

Please note we have shortened hours on New Year’s Eve (open until 2pm) and will be closed New Year’s Day!

Thank you, and Happy New Year to you all!! Let’s hope 2021 is a much better year for everyone!

Dr. Lora Schelle
